DARE TO DREAMINCOLOR
Danny is a strikingly handsome and flashy 2000 bay and white tobiano gelding with classic Thoroughbred conformation standing an impressive 17 hands. Double registered Paint and Pinto (APHA and PtHA), he is also eligible PHR, AWS, SHOC, and IRC. He is by Movin To The Music who has multiple honors in dressage, and out of Native Clay Basket who goes back to Native Dancer and Raise A Native and was a successful eventer in her own right.
Danny is naturally athletic and has the elegant movement, correct conformation, and quiet, willing temperament to excel as a performance sport horse. He has a refined head and neck, fine throatlatch, sloping shoulder, and big, elastic, reaching strides that give him light and floating movement. Talk about ring presence - this boy will get noticed! People have commented on his superb front end, eye-catching good looks, stunning markings, pretty head, kind eye, and charming personality. Demonstrating his sweet disposition and gentlemanly manners in his first APHA show, he was Reserve Champion in-hand trail out of 11 yearlings - a far cry from the nine-month-old weanling I bought that had to be all but hog-tied and thrown in the trailer to get him to load!
Every year on Danny's birthday we do something to show what a big boy he is. For his one-year-old birthday we had him in a full driving harness complete with bit. On his two-year-old birthday I sat on him (he didn't even notice I was up there!), but we've put that grown up stuff away until he's three. As a two-year-old He will be learning more natural horsemanship and working in hand and on long lines. He expresses a keen intelligence and willingness to learn, already pushing a barrel with his nose, lying down on cue, quietly lunging with balloons attached to his surcingle, and catching a hula hoop being tossed around his neck! He is going to be the perfect mount for a blind rider someday, and I have plans for him to be my dressage superstar!
